A glorious night of the year, where it feels as if things in the world are, albeit briefly, alright. This year, I am home alone for the holidays as my parents are in Malaysia with my brothers. Never fear, I muddle on through. I have continued my wondrous Christmas Eve tradition of listening to the original cast album of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/She_Loves_Me\"><em>She Loves Me<\/em><\/a>, not only one of the most glorious musical comedies written, but a show that finds its incredibly touching finale take place on Christmas Eve. As I type, the &#8220;Ice Cream&#8221; reprise scene between <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Daniel_Massey_%28actor%29\">Daniel Massey<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barbaracook.com\/\">Barbara Cook<\/a> is playing out, one of those zen moments when you know that a musical can be salve for a weary soul.<\/p>\n<p>Merry Christmas, kids.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s Christmas Eve.
